PHILOSOPHY
Hope Home Care's pledge to patient care goes beyond race, creed, religion, color, sex, age or nationality. Inherent in this commitment is our awareness of the dignity of man, the rights of patients, and our personal obligation to provide the highest attainable standard of health to those we serve.
Our obligation to health begins with professionalism, performance improvement and the understanding of patient's rights, which allows our staff to provide patients and their family members with comprehensive care.
In keeping with the Rules and Regulations of the State of New York, the Federal Government, and Accrediting Agencies, our goal is to provide excellence health care through strict adherence to our evaluation policy; and thereby, promoting maximal physical, mental and social well-being of each patient.
HISTORY
HHCI had its inception September, 1987. Jean V. Alexander-Greenaway, the owner, believes the vision of her business began while unemployed and volunteering at various hospitals. As she operated alone and from her home, providing domestic services to community residences, the insight and scope of her vision expanded. HHCI became a licensed Home and Health Care Agency, Accredited by JCAHO and Certified by the State and City of New York to provide professional and paraprofessional staffing in the five boroughs. To accommodate this expansion, she relocated to the New Dorp section of Staten Island.
HHCI's starting capital was $400.00, which purchased business cards, brochures and a telephone. The telephone directory was her only referral source. With commitment, determination and being focused, she saw her vision become a reality providing employment for over 250 health care providers.
As an experienced health care provider, she has demonstrated resilience by overcoming obstacles. Her untiring Faith, Spirit and Commitment to Christ are the contributing factors to the growth and success of her business.
